Ringing for Notre Dame – call to action
Following the devastating fire at the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris yesterday afternoon (15thApril), the Archbishops of Canterbury & York and Prime Minister Teresa May have asked forbells at churches and cathedrals across the UK to ring out in solidarity when possible thisThursday 18th April (Maundy Thursday).
If you can, please try and gather some ringers to ring at any time on Thursday in any way yousee fit (open, half-muffled etc.) and add your performance to the BellBoard event that hasbeen created to record the ringing: https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/event.php?id=10669.  Theseperformances will then be published together in an upcoming edition of The Ringing World.
One suggestion is to toll bell(s) for 7 minutes at 7pm.
