Association 6-bell striking competition rules
(As approved at the 2016 Association AGM)
- Every Branch may enter up to two bands from specified
towers, with the method of band selection being at the
discretion of the Branch Committee.
- Bands entered should be from specified towers, with at least
4 ringers who normally ring for Sunday services at that tower.
Up to 2 ringers may be co-opted to complete the band, but they
should have a genuine and regular association with the tower.
- Each ringer will only be allowed to ring for one band.
- A practice of two minutes will be allowed.
- The test piece will consist of 120 changes of doubles or
minor, or 120 rows of call changes (each bell except the tenor
to be called to lead).
- The rounds before and after, and any bell failing to set,
may be marked at the judge's discretion.
